After 30+ years in engineering and project management of industrial projects time came to formalize and further develop a model that emerged in bits and pieces over the years. I have worked within traditional organizational models, which did not define processes to meet some important requirements under given circumstances. Through a number of small adjustments I was able to formulate and add some new elements to those models. The adjustments were seemingly small but sufficient enough to make difference in the outcome. The adjustments always started with listening, either of the team voices or the voice of the inner guidance / intuition. Following completion of one of the projects, the world's largest installation of its kind where the area I had responsibility for went exceptionally well I was asked: "How did you do this?". I've chuckled as the executive who posed that question was regularly briefed about the progress but never noticed the pattern, could not see that differentiator. I was asked similar question few years later at the other organization, and then again in different industry and countries. O-MOD material is an attempt to respond to those questions.
